Cirkids was invited to the Track as part of their community days - the idea is to introduce kids to gambling young I guess:) Maia ended up betting on a horse called Light Up The Lane - she won $5...

They are all as sweet as can be and will no doubt keep us very, very busy...
But no where near as busy as this poor young mum who is raising FIVE little ones.

The Rocky Mountaineer

Maia and I recently took a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train. For two days we wined and dined in luxury. We got off the train at night and spent the first night in Kamloops. Our next two days and nights were spent in Calgary where we did plenty of exploring.

Di was doing a story about genealogy and found a bit of her personal history in the Fraser Valley community of Maple Ridge. So a short road trip to the small museum there. And we find her great-whoever's wedding dress. Way cool. One of Di's ancestor's was Mayor there for awhile.
